Wall Mural

Hi and welcome to 82.5 FM FIXit, MIXit, MAKEit!

Thanks for joining me. I am Ife Simone Pibiri and today we will MAKEit!

Equipment needed:

• Wall
• Tape
• Pencil
• Apron
• 1 Medium to Large Paint brush
• 1 small to medium paint brush
• Drop cloth (this can be an old sheet that you can use over and over again for future projects)
• Helper (optional)

Step 1. Ask your Mom if you can paint on her wall.
Step 2. Research. You want to see what other people have done and how they have done it; and then you pick what works for you. Because every project is different because everybody is different.
Step 3. Choose your colors and gather your materials.
Step 4. Tape the edges of the adjacent walls to protect them and ensure clean lines on the finished project.
Step 5. Lay your drop cloth on the floor by the wall that you will be working on to catch any paint that may and will drop.
Step 6. Put on your apron.
Step 7. Sketch your design on the wall with the pencil.
Step 8. Pick a color and start by using your small brush to outline the space that you will be painting.
Step 9. Fill in the outline with your larger paint brush.
Step10. Wash your paint brushes well BEFORE you change colors otherwise you will mix your colors and it will be a mess.
Step 11. Repeat steps 7, 8, and 9 until your mural is complete.
Step 12. Clean up. Because as my mom says….No job is complete until cleanup has been had.
